The author shows that Marx saw himself as the creator of a science of history rather than a philosopher, economist, or sociologist. He elucidates Marx’s method as a fusion of logical and historical analysis. He explains Marx’s concepts of practice and social being, alienation and freedom, and social and socioeconomic formation.
